After my school friend bewared me to
never (fall)in love, And if perchance it
happens, to not make it know, under
any lucrativeness. Thus my hands
forgot what to do with tulips I (bought).
Abandoned in the flower stall. The left
hand censored the right & vice-versa.
The evening I saw you return a fish to
the pond, my mouth ghost-fluted notes
of life. What you heard. Nothing. Letters
of a language that goes unspoken are like
the day-shy stars. There & not there. I felt
crying is what my body wants to (perform).
At the silent corner of a lake I dreamt you
would sit with me. In some sweet hour of
breathing. Though this is not what happened.
I (leant)against a stone cliff. For lovers flocked
the lakesides. I gave them their privacy. I felt
like a small god or human easy for this world,
to hold. The dawn evolving on everything made
